#061: Wisdom Is Shouting. You're Just Not Listening. 🧠

She's not hiding. She's in the marketplace, in the mentor, in the meeting you keep skipping. The RSVP has been open the whole time....

📱 TL;DR

  • The Reality: Wisdom isn’t exclusive. She’s shouting in public.

  • The Problem: Three types of people miss her every time.

  • The Cost: Ignore wisdom in comfort. She ignores you in calamity.

  • The Move: Listen early. Listen always. Listen to live.

Welcome, Family

Last week: poverty is a war, not a condition. We exposed the strategy.

This week: The Wisdom RSVP. Because winning the war requires more than identifying the enemy. You have to start responding to what God has already been saying.

Wisdom has been calling. The question was never whether she was available. It was whether you were picking up.

⏳ THE SIGN

The Ignored RSVP

Everyone has ignored a warning they later wished they hadn’t.

The relationship signal dismissed as oversensitivity. The financial red flag explained away. The mentor’s advice that felt counterintuitive so you skipped it. The conviction on Sunday that evaporated by Monday.

We don’t ignore warnings because we’re stupid. We ignore them because we assume there will be another one. More time. Another chance. A better moment to get serious.

The Diagnosis: Procrastination on wisdom is never neutral. Every ignored call moves you closer to a consequence that won’t wait for your convenience. The last chance you got might literally be the last chance you get.

đź“– THE WORD

Proverbs 1 & The Marketplace Call

Wisdom is not hiding. She is not reserved for seminaries, monasteries, or people with theology degrees. She is shouting in the marketplace. In the street. At the city gate where business gets done.

She has been calling you at work, in your relationships, through mentors, through consequences, through scripture, through every uncomfortable sermon you half-listened to.

The Warning: There is a reversal effect built into Proverbs 1. Ignore wisdom when she calls in your season of comfort, and she will ignore you when calamity arrives. Mock her invitation and she will mock your disaster. This is not cruelty. It is consequence. Wisdom operates on a sequence and the sequence has a deadline.

🌍 THE WITNESS

Three Types Who Always Miss Her

Wisdom is available to everyone. These three archetypes decline the RSVP every time:

TYPE 1: THE SIMPLE

They don’t know and they love not knowing. Easily influenced, perpetually undecided, always almost ready to change but never quite committing. The Simple aren’t rebellious. They’re just permanently on the fence — which in God’s economy is its own kind of decision.

The sign: you’ve heard the same wisdom multiple times and done nothing with it yet.

TYPE 2: THE SCORNER

They mock what they don’t understand. Wisdom feels threatening to their identity so they intellectualize it away, joke about it, or surround themselves with people who validate the dismissal. The Scorner is often the smartest person in the room and the furthest from transformation.

The sign: you have an explanation for why every piece of wisdom doesn’t quite apply to your situation.

TYPE 3: THE FOOL

Thick, dull, stubbornly committed to their own way regardless of evidence. The Fool isn’t unintelligent. They’re unteachable. And unteachable people don’t fail because of bad luck. They fail by design.

The sign: the same problem keeps returning with different faces.

The Three-Step Response:

  • Listen Early — seek wisdom before the decision, before the crisis, before the damage is done.

  • Listen Always — obey even when it’s counterintuitive. Especially when it’s counterintuitive.

  • Listen to Live — not to feel good on Sunday. To practice it all week. Every week.

🔥 THE WORK

The Wisdom Audit

1. The Archetype Check
Which of the three are you most prone to: Simple, Scorner, or Fool? The one that stings is probably yours.

2. The Ignored Call
What wisdom have you been hearing repeatedly and not acting on? Name it specifically. The repetition is the urgency.

3. The Early Test
Are you seeking wisdom before decisions or after consequences? Identify one upcoming decision. Seek wisdom on it before you move.

4. The Live Check
What did you hear last Sunday that you forgot by Monday? Find it. Apply one thing from it this week.

🙏 PRAYER CORNER

Every Wednesday at 8:00 PM EST, we gather to answer the call, together.

Let’s Pray:

“Father, we confess we have let Your wisdom go to voicemail.

We assumed there would be another call. Another season. A better time to get serious. We were Simple in our indecision, Scorners in our intellectualizing, Fools in our stubbornness.

Forgive us. You have been shouting in the marketplace. We just weren’t listening.

Tune our ears. Soften what’s hardened. Make us the kind of people who respond early, obey always, and live what we hear.

We are picking up. Amen.”

Life is tough. If you need us to pray for you, reach out below.

✝️ Final Word

Wisdom has been calling. In the mentor you dismissed. The warning you explained away. The conviction you slept on.

She doesn’t hide. She shouts. And she keeps a record of who picked up and who didn’t.

Ignore her in comfort. She ignores you in calamity. That’s not a threat. That’s a sequence.

The RSVP is still open. Answer it today.
